How to Dip Apple Slices in Chocolate?
My preferred way of coating apple slices with chocolate is the dip and smooth technique. It’s the simplest method I’ve tried. I always keep a spoon on hand to ensure the apple is evenly covered with chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off for a perfect thickness. Creating chocolate-covered apple slices does not have to be complicated or untidy.
Ingredients to Make Fresh Chocolate Apple Pops
- granny smith apples
- wooden pop sticks
- semisweet chocolate, melted
- Assorted sprinkles and/or chopped nuts
How to Make Fresh Chocolate Apple Pops
Prepare your favorite desired toppings.
Melt dark chocolate using either a double boiler or your microwave, taking care not to burn it when using the latter.
Cut the apples into slices and pat them dry with a paper towel. Insert wooden sticks into the slices carefully, taking care not to split them. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Dip each apple slice in melted chocolate and sprinkle on desired toppings (or roll in toppings). Place on parchment paper. Repeat for all slices.
Allow the chocolate to cool and set for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. Serve and enjoy the same day in order to prevent moisture from weeping through the apples.
