Ingredients
  

  • 2 granny smith apples
  • wooden pop sticks
  • 4 ounce semisweet chocolate, melted
  • Assorted sprinkles and/orchopped nuts

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your favorite desired toppings.
  • Melt dark chocolate using either a double boiler or your microwave, taking care not to burn it when using the latter.
  • Cut the apples into slices and pat them dry with a paper towel. Insert wooden sticks into the slices carefully, taking care not to split them.
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Dip each apple slice inmelted chocolate and sprinkle on desired toppings (or roll in toppings). Place on parchment paper. Repeat for all slices.
  • Allow the chocolate to cool and set for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. Serve and enjoy the same day in order to prevent moisture from weeping through the apples.
