 It only takes a few common ingredients and 10 minutes to prepare. This keto crispy parmesan crusted chicken is low-carb and gluten-free. Instead of traditional breadcrumbs, it uses grated Parmesan cheese to create a fragrant crust. Grated parmesan, when fried, turns golden and turns into a crispy crust on the chicken breast.

 Ingredients to Make Keto Crispy Parmesan Crusted Chicken:

  • chicken breasts
  • Parmesan cheese
  • egg
  • salt
  • pepper
  • vegetable oil
  • seasoning for chicken

How to Make Keto Crispy Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Grate a block of cheese, use a box grater and try to match the texture that you see in the pictures.

Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board. 

Then, cut each breast in half horizontally.
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with seasoning for chicken, salt, and pepper.
In one deep plate, whisk an egg in another plate, spread out the Parmesan cheese.
Dip one chicken breast into the egg.
Then, put the chicken into the Parmesan cheese.
Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Put the chicken breasts in a heated skillet.

I recommend once you place the chicken breasts down into the oil, do not move them around until the Parmesan cheese has had enough time to turn golden about 4-5 minutes.  Then, use a spatula to flip the chicken over gently and cook on the other side — about 4-5 minutes longer.

  • 1/2 tbsp seasoning for chicken
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/4 tbsp pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
