Use powdered sugar instead of sugar. The powdered sugar in the recipe makes the cookies extra tender and soft.
Don’t over-mix the batter.
Use semi-sweet chocolate chips or chocolate chunks.
Use parchment paper. Doing this will make it easy to remove the cookies from your cookie sheet.
Don’t over-bake the chocolate chip cookies.
How to Make Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
Then heat the butter in the microwave until melted.
Pour powdered sugar into a medium bowl. Then add butter(melted) eggs, and slowly mix in the flour mixture.
Finally, stir in chocolate chips.
The chocolate chip cookie dough should be soft, easy to roll, and not sticky.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon-sized balls and drop them onto a prepared baking sheet, spacing 3 inches apart.
Bake cookies for 12 to 14 minutes.
How to Freeze Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
You can freeze this chocolate chip cookie dough or the baked cookies. The cookie dough will be good for up to three months.The cookie will be good for up to two months.
