Easy Oven Baked Ribs

This Easy Oven Baked Ribs recipe is my favorite. This recipe has completely captured my heart. Ribs don’t have to be complicated, and this recipe is proof of that. You can get fall-off-the-bone tender ribs from your oven at any time of year. Combine with some Crockpot Mashed Potatoes and a Pea Salad for an amazing weeknight dinner.

Ingredients to Make Easy Oven Baked Ribs

  • RIBS:
  • 4 pounds (2 kg) baby back pork ribs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil.
  • SAUCE:
  • 2 cups (500ml) barbecue sauce
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 – 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to Make Easy Oven Baked Ribs

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Remove the tough membrane covering the underside/bony side of the ribs. Place on a baking sheet or tray that has been lined with foil (or parchment paper).

Mix the sauce ingredients together during the final 5 minutes of cooking.

Raise oven temperature to 460°F (240°C). Put ribs back in oven, without covering, and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Set oven to broil (or grill) on medium-high to lightly brown and caramelise edges (approx. 3 minutes).

Allow the juices to flow back into the meat by taking a 10 minute break before slicing.
