Easy Oven Baked Ribs

This Easy Oven Baked Ribs recipe is my favorite. This recipe has completely captured my heart. Ribs don't have to be complicated, and this recipe is proof of that. You can get fall-off-the-bone tender ribs fromy our oven at any time of year. Combine with some Crockpot Mashed Potatoes and a Pea Salad for an amazing weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
  

RIBS
  • 4 pounds babyback pork ribs
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
SAUCE:
  • 2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp  Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Remove the tough membrane covering the underside/bony side of the ribs. Place on a baking sheet or tray that has been lined with foil (or parchment paper).
  3. Combine garlic powder, onionpowder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Drizzle oil over the ribs and sprinkle with seasoning. Rub the seasoning all over both sides of the ribs. Bake for 2 hours,covered with foil.
  4. Mix the sauce ingredients together during the final 5 minutes of cooking.
  5. Raise oven temperature to 460°F (240°C). Put ribs back in oven, without covering, and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Set oven to broil (or grill) on medium-high to lightlybrown and caramelise edges (approx. 3 minutes).
  6. Allow the juices toflow back into the meat by taking a 10 minute break before slicing. Enjoy!
