Ingredients to Make Brussels Sprouts with Garlic
- brussels sprouts
- olive oil
- garlic cloves
- salt

How to Make Brussels Sprouts with Garlic
Prepare the sprouts
Snap off any outer leaves that might be browning and rough outer leaves of larger sprouts.

Cook
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Then add the brussels sprouts and cook until bright green, 2-3 minutes. Drain well and pat dry.

Divide the brussels sprouts, fill them with water and cook for 5 minutes from the moment of boiling. If you want the brussels sprouts to crunch a little, you can boil them for 2-3 minutes.
In a large, deep skillet, heat 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil. Saute smashed garlic cloves for 1-2 minutes, and remove from the skillet.

After that add the brussels sprouts and season with salt. Cook over moderate heat, stirring a few times, for 3 minutes.

Serve warm.

My Cooking Tips
Brussels sprouts should be fresh.
The smaller they are, the better they will roast up.
Try to choose ones that have minimal wilted leaves.
Brussels sprouts are best eaten fresh. Leftovers of brussels sprouts can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.

These garlicky Brussels sprouts sound amazing! I love how they’re low in calories yet so nutritious. I’ll definitely try this recipe. Do you think adding a squeeze of lemon at the end would give it an extra zing?
Thank you! So glad you like the recipe! A squeeze of lemon at the end is a great idea — it would add a bright, zesty kick that pairs perfectly with the garlic. Definitely give it a try!
