Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted  cooled to room temperature
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 cup almond flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups fresh cherries  pitted, each sliced in half
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Blend the butter and sugar until they become light and airy. Combine the almond flour ,baking powder, and salt, add them to the mixture of butter, and stir them together using a spoon until they start forming crumbs. Proceed to use your hands to mix until the desired crumbly texture is achieved.
  • It is possible to use a food processor to make the dough.
  • Gently but firmly press down 75% of the crumb dough into the pie dish, making sure to also press it up the sides of the dish.
  • Combine cornstarch and cherries in a mixing bowl of moderate size, stirring until well mixed.
  • Evenly distribute the cherry filling onto the crust layer.
  • Scatter the remaining crumb mixture on top of the cherries.
  • The cherry pie should be baked for a duration of 23 to 25 minutes or until the surface attains a golden hue.
  • Allow the mixture to cool inside the container for approximately 20 minutes before transferring it onto a serving dish.
