Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Slice the pears in half lengthwise.
Remove the core and seeds from each pear with a small sharp paring knife or melon baller, leaving a round well for the filling.
Trim off a small slice from the rounded sides of each pear half so that they will sit in the baking dish without wobbling.
Arrange the pears, core side up, in a baking dish large enough to hold them.
Flip over the pear, put a piece of butter, and crumble the blue cheese into the cavity left by the core.
Roast in an oven, at 375°F, for 20 minutes.This can be served either hot or in at room temperature!
