Ingredients

  • 12 oz Tri-color Rotini (spirals).
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, a pinch of black pepper, and dried oregano or Italian herbs.

Method

  1. Boil the Pasta: Cook the rotini in salted water according to the package directions until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Add the finely diced onion to the meat and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft. Stir in the garlic and seasonings, cooking for 1 more minute until fragrant.
  4. Combine: Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the beef. The Cheese Finish: Turn off the heat.
  5. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the pasta and give it a final toss. Serve warm!
