Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface if needed.
- Brush the surface lightly with beaten egg.
- Sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the pastry.
- Optionally add herbs or spices to taste.
- Cut the sheet into strips about 1.5–2 cm wide.
- Twist each strip gently and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or greased lightly.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden and puffed.
- Let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
