Ingredients

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • cups cold milk
  • ¼ cup butter(melted) or canola oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs

Equipment

  • waffle maker

Method

  1. In the mixing bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
  2. Create a well in the center and add the remaining wet ingredients: milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Whisk until the batter has formed and then stop. Try to not mix.
  4. Brush both sides of the waffle maker with melted butter and pour in your batter. Cook Belgian waffles according to the recommended cooktimes for your waffle maker.
  5. I love a warm Belgian Waffle with lots of delicious toppings like chocolate chips, fruit (raspberries are my favorite), whipped cream, powdered sugar, maple syrup, or butter.
