Asparagus Cheese Tart

Asparagus and cheese make a delicious combination, especially when baked in the oven.This asparagus tart is best enjoyed warm, with the cheese melted and crispy. If you have leftovers, reheat them in the oven the next day.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry defrosted, but kept in the refrigerator
  • 1 bunch, about 8 oz fresh asparagus, trim the tough ends
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Prepare the puff pastry by rolling out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Prick the puff pastry with a fork to prevent it from rising during baking.
  3. Sprinkle mozzarella over the dough. Arrange asparagus spears and sun-dried tomatoes on top, then sprinkle parmesan over everything.
  4. Bake at 400℉ for 20 to 25 minutes, oruntil the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  5. Cut into squares before serving.
