Chocolate cake with whipped cream cheese frosting is a perfect dessert for any occasion. It is rich, moist, and full of deep chocolate flavor. The whipped cream cheese frosting adds a light, creamy, and slightly tangy contrast to the sweet cake.

- 1¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup (75g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- 1½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
- ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup (240ml) hot coffee (or hot water)

- 8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
- ½ cup (60g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add wet ingredients: Mix in eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat until well combined.
Addhot coffee: Slowly pour in the hot coffee (or water) whilestirring. The batter will be thin, but this helps make the cake moist.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form.
Add powdered sugar and vanilla to the cream cheese and beat until fluffy.
Gently fold in the whipped cream until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Spread frosting on one cake layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the entire cake.
Garnish with grated chocolate and cream as desired.
Chill for 2 hours before serving for the best texture.
