- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs(seasoned or plain)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ black pepper
- 12 mozzarella cheese sticks (string cheese)

Prepare the Breading Stations:
Place the flour in a shallow dish. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs. In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
Coat the Cheese Sticks
Cut each mozzarella cheese stick in half to make shorter sticks. Dredge each cheese stick in the flour, making sure to coat all sides. Dip the floured cheese stick into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s fully coated. Finally, roll the cheese stick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb steps for a double coating.
Freeze the Cheese Sticks:
Fry the Cheese Sticks:
Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the cheese sticks in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the cheese sticks from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
Serve the cheese sticks hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
