For theBrownies:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp red food coloring
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup salt
For the Cream Cheese
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to lift the brownies out easily.
Prepare the Brownie Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract, red food coloring, and white vinegar until fully incorporated. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
