These mini apple pies are a classic dessert that can be enjoyed hot and sweet at any time. Baked in a muffin tin, they feature a buttery and flaky puff pastry crust that is filled with a deliciously gooey apple filling. Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Puff Pastry
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and chopped into ¾" pieces
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions
 

  • Heat the apples, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, and water on medium heat for approximately 8-10minutes until the apples are cooked.
  • Slice the puff pastry dough into 12 equal-sized squares..
  • Take the dough and shape it to fit snugly into each cup of a greased muffin tin, making sure to cover the top completely. Utilize the extra dough to create decorative pie toppings such as heart shapes, leaves, or thin strips fora lattice design.
  • Scoop the cooked apples into each muffin cup, and pour the sauce into each cup, filling it up to about ¾ of the way.
  • Place a cut-out puff pastry shape on top of each pie and then use the egg wash to brush them.
  • The recommended cooking time for this recipe is 18 to 20 minutes at a temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
